National Craft Month
Every March, we celebrate National Craft Month and this year, Hobbycraft offered a discount on products and workshops to help customers get making. The aim of the campaign was to encourage positivity through crafting and my challenge was to create the online and in store assets to promote it.
The artwork has three sections; the logo, the imagery and the information. I knew I wanted to bring in a brush stroke effect to the blocks of colour to emphasise the crafty nature of the poster and it turned out to be a good way of separating the information well. The hierarchy was another aspect to balance; although I didn’t want the logo to distract from the promotional offer, it needed to be recognisable as this will be an annual campaign Hobbycraft run.
